The article analyzes discourses that built a historicity for the municipality of Morretes, located on the coast of Paraná State, that are present in the study entitled "Morretes and its Possibilities", that was published in 1970 by the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform - INCRA. The study is part of the restructuring process of national agriculture during the Brazilian Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985). The focus of our analysis is the discourses about the past, present and future of that locality that aim interventions for its social, cultural and economic development.
