Mais do que pura poesia: uma visão política nos estudos dos gêneros dramáticos da antiguidade grega

Resumen

Este artículo propone un enfoque crítico de los géneros dramáticos de la antigüedad griega, superando los límites de una lectura exclusivamente poética. Al problematizar la consolidación de convenciones y clasificaciones canónicas sobre la tragedia y la comedia antiguas, el texto evidencia cómo estas codificaciones ocultan disputas sociopolíticas que atravesaban la producción teatral. Se destaca la importancia de actores sociales como los choregoi, financiadores y productores de las obras, cuya actuación revela la dimensión política de los festivales dramáticos y el teatro como espacio de disputa simbólica. A través del análisis de autores como Aristófanes, Eurípides y Antífanes, además de fuentes materiales y retóricas, el artículo sostiene que la teatralidad griega antigua va mucho más allá de la poesía, constituyéndose como una herramienta estratégica de participación y tensionamiento político en Atenas.
