Fronteras y Identidades Etnicas en la Epístola a los Romanos

Pablo de Tarso nació, vivió y murió como judío piadoso, en un entorno circundado por el mar Mediterráneo, donde las culturas helenística y romana se encontraban interconectadas. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las construcciones de identidades étnicas en la Epístola a los Romanos, bajo el gobierno de Nerón (54 d.C.–68 d.C.), una epístola dirigida a grupos de oyentes con múltiples identidades. Las raíces de los movimientos cristianos surgieron en el seno de los judaísmos, a partir de diferentes grupos de misioneros y predicadores que los formaron sobre la base de las convicciones acerca de un hombre que supuestamente resucitó al tercer día, Jesucristo. Partiendo de estas premisas, buscamos, a través de las fuentes textuales relacionadas con la obra de Pablo, comprender de qué manera la cuestión de las fronteras y las identidades se manifiesta en sus escritos.
