Expanding the concept of value-news, this article aims to propose theoretical mechanisms to observe the emotional component present in the production of news information. Photojournalism is proposed as the expression of affections as news-values, given not only the emotional appeal that is intrinsic to images, but also its circulation enhanced by the dynamics of social networks, which seems to reconfigure the idea of sensationalism in the practice of journalism.Downloads
