Abstract

The text aims to access the lived experience through vernacular photographs and the activation of poiesis (manufacture) of remembrance and memory. These are understood throughout the text as similar, but with particularities in accessing experiences; whether individualized, when remembrance/anamnesis deals with who speaks; or shared, when memory/mneme deals with what is spoken. The text emerges from the research 'Sertão de Lembranças' conducted in the Sertão do Pajeú, Pernambuco between 2021 and 2023. The concepts of memory and remembrance are approached through Benjamin, Sarlo, Bergson, Halbwachs, Kossoy, and Le Goff, and are methodologically used confrontationally to establish relationships with field observations. Its result is to propose the interpretation of this poiesis in the tradition of poetry present in the research territory through recitations, improvisations, or writed.
