Abstract

This article brings some notes on a methodology of working with photographic images, operationalized through the ideas of photography and its doubles, by Lissovsky (2012), and the visual pairs, by Viadel, Roldán and Genet (2017) and Spirn (2008). In the development some reflections are presented about the nature of the images and their creative and critical possibilities from the relationship/pairing between them. At the end, we show some results obtained with students from a photography workshop in a summer school at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, in Portugal, and in a asignature of a Graduate Program in Art, Media and Education, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão, in Brazil.
