Thinking of new ways and new teaching resources to facilitate and qualify the geography teaching-learning process in Basic Education and to make geography attractive and fun, so that the student actively participates in the construction of their knowledge is a current challenge. Media and their cultural artifacts were used in educational processes to contribute to resolving this problem. Thus, the present work aimed to reflect on the use of cartoons as a didactic-pedagogical resource for teaching geography in Basic Education. The bibliographic review was used as a methodology and in this the gender of the authors was considered, so that the work included both equally. As resulting products, 9 lesson plans were generated for Elementary Education - Initial Years and Final Years based on the National Common Curricular Base (2018) and the Base Curriculum of the Catarinense Territory (2019). These lesson plans present transversal, innovative themes and diversity in its most distinct facets. It was observed that it is possible to make geography attractive and meaningful for the student with cultural artifacts from their daily lives.
