Abstract

This article presents an interview with Professor Marlene Cainelli, PhD, currently a Senior Professor in the Graduate Program in Education at the State University of Londrina (UEL). The invitation to the scholar is justified by her decisive role in the creation of the journal História & Ensino, her fundamental contribution to the consolidation of UEL’s Laboratory for the Teaching of History, and her distinguished work in teaching and in the training of researchers at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the fields of History and Education. These initiatives have played a significant role in strengthening the field of History Education within the institution. Professor Cainelli’s academic trajectory reveals a remarkable body of initiatives developed at regional, national, and international levels, particularly in the field of the theory of History Education. Her scholarly production and professional activities have contributed substantially to the advancement and visibility of research on History Education, reaffirming her relevance within the contemporary academic landscape. In this interview, Professor Cainelli intertwines her biographical background and academic trajectory with the transformations that have taken place within the field of History Education.
