The article promotes reflection on existing methods and techniques for investigating emotions and satisfaction when using digital products. It discusses the variables that influence the quality of the result, since most methods use pre-defined scales, which can be a limiting factor, as the collection of emotions experienced loses its naturalness. Therefore, we sought an alternative to measure emotions during a user experience, which would maintain the participant's naturalness. An exploratory research was carried out with ten people using the "think aloud" protocol, without the use of a scale. Based on the results, a methodological approach is suggested that can be applied alone or combined with other techniques, to optimize session time and provide a more complete study.
